How to Clear History in Google Chrome

If it is hard to see the images, simply click on them to make them larger.

Step 1:

Simply Click the Menu (3 Lines Outlined by the red box).

Step 2:

Once you have clicked on the Menu, Place your mouse over History to open the History Menu. Now click on History as outlined by the red box in the image below.

Step 3:

Once you have clicked on History, you should see this screen. Now you have 2 options. One you can clear all of your history, or 2, you can delete only the selected items. Clearing all of your history may not be a good idea if your abuser is knowledgeable about computers. The first picture displays the button to click to clear ALL HISTORY. The second picture displays the button to click to clear Selected History. To use that function, you must first check off what pages you want to be removed then click Remove Selected Items.

Step 4a:

Once you have clicked on Clear Browsing Data, this window will pop up. It will display a list of options to choose from, although some will be pre-selected. If there are no choices selected, to clear all your history simply check off Browsing History, Cookies and other site data, and Cached Images and Files. Once you are done selecting the options you want, click the Clear Browsing Data at the bottom of the window. Depending on how many pages you have in your history, it can take some time to clear the data.

Step 4b:

If you are just wanting to clear a few pages you visited, check off the pages you want clear and click on Remove Selected Items. Once you have clicked the button, a window will pop up. Simply click Remove and the pages you don’t want to be in your history will be removed.
